This is a launch event, for meeting and listening to short stories by local children’s author, Caroline Stephenson. As the poster says, some will be perfect for Early Years – such as the 3 Little Pigs of Penpell, Par, along with a little snippet about Bill and Ben, the engines that moved clay trucks to the harbour in Thomas the Tank Engine books.
Next we will spend up to 30 minutes helping to add more trees to the Forest for Cornwall! Caroline will provide cuttings and show how to propagate them. Please be sure to book in advance, if you want to have a pot and plant to take home … we really need to know numbers.
After hand washing and time for refreshments (bring snacks with you, please) those who would like to can look at and hear stories about local history, from Treffry Tales part 4, which will be more suited to adults and older children.
This is a free event with thanks to Par Community Garden for allowing use of their space. We hope Wednesdays will become a semi-regular date for you diaries, with more planting and history walks in future.
